HELLO TWENTY EIGHTEEN; NEW YEAR NEW BEGINNINGS

It's Twenty Eighteen. Let that settle in for a moment. It's cliche and of course we all know it's just another day but it's Monday and it's January 1st; it's so perfect for the obsessively organised and controllers like me, what an opportunity to begin as we mean to go on. There's many things I plan to do this year including the usual likes of health, finance and experiences. I can't wait to begin and ensure I stick to all my goals, for numerous reasons this year will be a big one for myself - big in my own little way of course but important to me nonetheless. I am determined to document everything this year and to make it a daily occurrence so I can follow this on in the years to come, so please do stick around and tune into my little joys on here, Instagram and hopefully, Youtube.
I've had my eye on this Gestuz jacket for a while, it first appeared on ASOS and I fell in love, but the price point was high due to the material. Originally at £350, I considered it every time I saw a discount code flying around but my patience paid off and it finally dropped into the sale before Christmas for £139, I was ecstatic, until I realised it was out of stock! I kept checking back and finally one came back in stock in my size and I checked out quicker than ever before. It is now sold out completely, however I've listed a few alternatives below in many different price points.

The turtleneck, a wardrobe staple. I picked this one up in the H&M sale as it's slightly thinner than others I own and it's perfect for the milder weathers. I've seen Lizzy from ShotFromTheStreet wear a similar piece over a triangle bra for an evening look and I think it's so effortlessly sexy and cool, something I definitely want to recreate. Again, there's plenty on the market which I've listed below. I've always found it helpful having a thicker material or a ribbed version as well as something thin for layering in any weather.
The culotte is by far my favourite item of the year Twenty Seventeen. I fell in love with the wide legged, short length pants this year and now have a collection overflowing my drawers. This navy pair from Mango are one of the few plain coloured pairs I own and I love them dearly. So flattering, so comfortable and very effortless all year round. I love how they can be styled casually, smart or for an evening. Absolute winning.
What's an outfit without the accessories. I tried a beret for the first time back in December and I think I'm hooked. When the wind is blowing, nothing saves lives more than a hat to keep your hair in place and I'm addicted to these cute Parisian things. I've also gotten so much wear out of my Gucci Soho Disco Bag, it is surprisingly spacious and of course goes with everything due to the simple design. I think the days of big oversized bags worn in the bend of your arm are long gone, why suffer with arm strain when you can sling the goods over your shoulder?
