Well hello there! I've been away for a little while exploring the South of France and Paris. As you can imagine, i've got photos upon photos to share and I cannot wait! So expect several posts coming soon. Whilst in our hotel room in Paris, I did a quick Pinterest search (A holiday must!) on cute areas of Paris which feel quintessentially French and this little area popped up which just so happened to sport the most darling pink and green cafe ever. So we hopped on the metro and was shortly in the area ready to get snap happy.
This day also happened to be our traveling day so I opted for something super comfortable and travel friendly. This Zara number became my holiday essential, anytime I needed something to throw on, I always grabbed it first. They had several smock style dresses on their site and I knew I wanted one, I opted for this one above any of the others as I loved the details of colour, if only I had some cute red mules to match with it! The slides were only £3 from Primark, i'd highly recommend picking some up for some easy throw away sandals which look alot more expensive than they actually are!
To head to La Maison Rose, just hop on the metro to the stop Lamarck - Caulaincourt, a few steps up the hill and you're there. The cafe itself was closed when we arrived and by the looks of it inside they are renovating the place as it was a building site. The reviews on Tripadvisor suggest it's been open recently so unfortunately we just missed out! But alas, still super cute for photos, right?
The area itself did feel so effortlessly Parisian and I loved every second of it. Central Paris, as with any popular city, feels very busy and hectic but stepping a little further afield felt so beautifully calm and it's so interesting to just sit back and watch the locals go about their day to day lives.
